KlezKamp Zhurnal

The transformation of the KlezKamp Resource Book into the Zhurnal, a cutting edge publication featuring articles, poetry and photography, is only the beginning.

This year's Zhurnal, which celebrates KlezKamp's 23rd edition will, as before, include articles on our theme, reminiscences and memorabilia, but will also feature articles on the work and exciting plans which Living Traditions has undertaken in the name of Yiddish culture.

We invite KlezKamp's community to share its commitment to our program by purchasing kvitlekh, "little notes," in the pages of the journal. We especially encourage those who cannot join us at KlezKamp to "attend" by buying kvitlekh. These kvitlekh can be any size and about anything: dedications, artwork, poems, business cards or anonymous greetings. Creative and expressive use of these kvitlekh in the celebration of Yiddishkayt and of KlezKamp is strongly encouraged.

The Zhurnal is an excellent way for your organizations, bands, creative projects and so forth to reach a targeted audience of committed klezmer music fans and Yiddishists. Please ask your friends, employers, bands, record labels, Yiddish vinkls, shuls or JCCs to participate. The entire Zhurnal (minus address list) will also be available here on our website, thus reaching an even larger audience. Additional copies of the form may be downloaded here.
